It was a lovely surprise to find these Quorn Southern Style Burgers at Coles. Now, Woolworths carry them, too. These vegetarian friendly burgers are wrapped in a crunchy, southern style pepper coating (breading) and made with mycoprotein like other Quorn products. Mycoprotein is a nutritious member of the fungi/mould family which is naturally low in fat (less than 3%) and high in protein and fibre.
There are 4 burgers in each box, each one weighs 63 grams. They are a little on the small side as they disappear in burger buns. However, they are easy to get and delicious, too.

Mycoprotein (56%), Wheat Flour (contains added Calcium, Iron, Niacin & Thiamine), Water, Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed), Rehydrated Free Range Egg White, Wheat Starch, Rice Flour, Milk Proteins, Flavouring, Wheat Gluten, Salt, Yeast, Firming Agents: Calcium Chloride, Calcium Acetate, Spice & Spice Extracts (Black Pepper, Fennel Extract, Red Pepper, Fenugreek, Pimento Extract, Nutmeg), Gelling Agent: Pectin, Colour: Paprika Extract.

How to Cook Quorn Southern Style Burgers
As a general rule: cook from frozen. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Ensure Quorn Southern Fried Burgers are piping hot before serving.
Simply remove all packaging and cook from frozen as follows.
Pre-heat oven and baking tray to 220¬°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7.
Place Quorn Burgers on the tray & cook on the middle oven shelf for 16 minutes. Reduce cooking time by 2 minutes for fan assisted ovens.
Preheat grill on medium-high heat. Place frozen Quorn Southern Style Burgers on a baking tray. Cook for 12 minutes, turning every 3 minutes.

How to Store Quorn Southern Style Burgers
Keep frozen below -18°C. Please refer to freezer manual guidelines. Do not refreeze once thawed.
