OK, here’s something you may not know about me…
I’m a writer. I write books and articles. Some of my articles are even published on paper. And I have been participating this global movement called National Novel Writing Month, in short: NaNoWriMo.
What is NaNoWriMo?
It happens during November. All NaNoWriMo participants register their books and aim for writing 50,000 words in just 30 days. I have done this before (twice actually). So, I have 2 finished manuscripts, thanks to NaNoWriMo. And, I will be doing it again this year.
Here’s how it all started…
I don’t quite remember it but I must’ve signed up for NaNoWriMo almost five years ago. Well, their website says so. I’m not going to argue with those people. However, when I signed up, I didn’t register a novel. They kept emailing me saying; “World needs your novel,” even though I only had an idea for a book at the time.
Three years ago, that idea was slightly more developed into a brief and unfinished outline. Some of the locations were researched and about eight characters were developed to a degree that I was even pissed off with one of them! Then, I registered my novel. And, at the end of November, I had over 50,000 words written. That was my first year.
Second year, I had a different book idea. The one that I have been developing for a long time. Actually, this one was supposed to be my first baby but baby orangutans in Kalimantan convinced me otherwise. This time, I had over 60,000 words written.
This year, I’m participating again. No plan, no preparations and absolutely no idea!
What’s that got to do with you? Well, I just want to tell you that I have come up with a plan so that I won’t neglect you or VegFusion. Here’s my plan:
I have had a few half-baked ideas (pun intended) for this time of year. Each one of them is scheduled and ready to be posted automatically while I’m busy, writing another book. It’s very much like participating VeganMoFo for me.
In the meantime, you can follow my daily progress here. I’ll see you guys at the end of November.
